Taken at Crocker Ledges reef off Tavernier, Key Largo, Florida. One of my first B/W underwater pics.
Doing underwater photography is tricky, you have to control your breathing so your exhaust bubbles don't go in front of teh lens, you have to keep from bumping into the reef or floating away and keep an eye on where your dive buddy is all the while you attempt to frame a good composition. I'm not sure if I manage a good composition with this one but I am happy with it.

What a great shot. The composition is balanced well and the B/W lends a sense of mystery to the picture. That sponge almost looks like part of an olde rusty boat boiler. This photo has been featured in my news article on underwater photography. [link]
