I entered 10 photos into the Montgomery County Fair's annual photography competition this year and tonight I went to the fair to eat too much fair food that was dreadfully unhealthy but very tasty, took over 400 photographs of the harness racing and animal showing competitions and went to see if I managed to place in any of the divisions I'd entered.

Out of 10 entries I got 5 ribbons: 2 firsts, 2 seconds and an honorable mention. The firsts came in the action/sports division and the 3-shot-sequence division. The seconds were in the nature division and the Montgomery County Fair scene division. The honorable mention was in the pets/domesticated animals division.

They had some absolutely fantastic photos in the comp this year and I didn't disagree with the judges choices for anything. I'm just glad that I didn't have to judge them. The best in show was a phenomenally beautiful and technically perfect seascape with an old lighthouse. I just stood in front of it for ten minutes staring at it. It truly deserved the award.

Just like last year I'll be posting the photos that I won something on, but not tonight. I have to work tomorrow and I'd better get to bed so I can catch the bus.

Anyway, I'm really, really pleased with how it turned out.
